I Spy Soup!

Today for lunch, we had 'I Spy Soup.' Mom decided this morning that we needed to get rid of some of our leftovers, so she put them all into a big pot and called it soup. Upon finding out what it was (I had originally mistaken the smell for Shrimp and Grits- nuts!), I was, well, a little disgusted. When we sat down to eat, Mom started calling it 'I Spy Soup,' and we made a game of finding out what was in it. I spotted spaghetti noodles from last night, some kind of hamburger, and my baby brother's cauliflower that we would mash up for him. My sister said she saw a M&M in the bottom left over from Christmas, but I think it was just a carrot that a friend had given us as a side to our lunch on a recent trip. Once we were almost done, Dad stood up and said, “Everybody gets one more scoop, or else we'll have to freeze this and eat it later.” What we had left in our bowls we gave to our sweet old dog, Redd.
