Thunderbolts and Lightning!

A Strong Thunder and Lightning storm came through the area last night. Everyone in the family was awakened and ended up in Mommy and Daddy's bed and floor for an hour. One lightning bolt in particular seemed extremely close. We found the next morning bark strewn about one of our tallest trees, our in ground fence line broken and melted and the controller completely fried with black marks on the wall. We thank God the house did not burn down.

We called the Pizza King and per Dave S's recommendation we did NOT have the 'sausage patty' on the deep dish pizza. Chose the small Supreme. Since it takes an hour to bake, we're still waiting on it... gave me a chance to send this update. Heading out to the Navy Pier for dessert and then to the hotel. Wife is on the phone with her sister while I'm blogging.
